I'd like to thank everyone who has taken some time to visit DYB in the last year!

I decided to form this blog in December 2009 simply because I enjoy having a creative outlet and somewhere to post my internet findings... I assumed people were sick of me polluting Facebook (although I sometimes still do), so I figured that if anyone really wanted to see what I was interested in, they could come here. Plus, blogs are just fun, right?

In the end, I do it all for Danny Stark! lol

Here's a compilation of most of the major samples involved in Kanye West's new release, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

It's pretty interesting to hear how he flips these. I think it's less related to actual musical ability and more related to just having an ear for what could sound good, and having the dedication to listen through crates and crates of old stuff.

Whenever I see an "As seen on TV" ad, I tend to chuckle at the pathetic "before" image of someone struggling to complete a daily task. Is it that hard to slice a tomato? Well someone graciously lined up a highlight reel of just how hard life apparently is.
